Recruiting on the Internet is never easy. For prospects to become familiar
with and learn to trust you takes time and effort on your part. This is where
autoresponders have a place. It is stated that it can take as many as seven
follow ups before someone will respond to your emails, no matter how 
well crafted and content rich they may be.
Others, may never respond. It is the way of Internet marketing.

So, as a general rule of thumb, you should follow up seven times, with seven
well crafted sales letters. Using an Autoresponder will allow you to do that
automatically. As part of the 10khits4u team however, your first follow up is
done when a prospect visits your page. 
They fill out the details on the form on your page. 
They receive a message both confirming these details and that you will follow
up with them personally. 

In addition, they are given the opportunity to receive the 10khits4u ezine. 
The next message they receive, is the one containing the information on how to
receive the traffic system. Your prospect is sent the sample letter in the
members area with your edited details and then hopefully sets up their own
page.
 
If they do, they become part of your team, and the use of an 
Autoresponder is not required, as they will then require personal follow up
from then on. 

Autoresponders then make you appear impersonal and can detract from your team
building efforts. If they do not become page holders straightaway then further
follow up should be made. It is then recommended that you follow up with the
prospect using MSN. Simply enter their details into MSN and 
if they are registered, their details will be added to your contact list. 
Otherwise, you get the option to invite them via an email, to sign up and chat
with you. Either way, you should keep an eye open for them to be online.



General Tips

Always use Text (ASCII format) No fancy characters, bold, underlines or other
formatting. 

Please DO NOT SHOUT. Using all caps is considered shouting in email and is
difficult to read. They have their place i.e. to emphasise IMPORTANT words.
Same goes for the subject line.

Ensure each line is less than 60 characters. This means it will fit in all
email clients without disrupting the text flow. To make sure of this, always
put a carriage return at the end of each line. Use Notepad, Word, or even your
email client. A tip, type the message first. Then as you proof
read it, insert the carriage returns. Save the message. You may use it again
or need to refer to it later. You can then copy and paste it into your online
Autoresponder.

Smaller is better. Try to ensure the email is less than 10k in size. Some
email systems will block anything larger.

Always include a disclaimer and a way for the subscriber to opt out of
receiving further messages. Autoresponders usually provide the removal option
automatically, managing your list for you. 
A disclaimer should include information on how you received their details.
Make sure you keep hold of your system request emails!! The first few lines of
the system letter should be sufficient.



Autoresponder Options

For further follow ups autoresponders can be employed, here you have a couple
of options. Included here, is just a small selection of services that may
exist.

1. You can subscribe to a free service, which may contain adverts at their
discretion such as:

http://www.getresponse.com or http://www.freeautobot.com. If you choose this
option, be aware these are not fully featured, and may or may not allow
import/export of lists or many follow up letters to be entered or even
occasional mailing. Although freeautobot.com does come close.

2. Sign up with paid for services which can cost upwards of $19.95 per month
or as an annual subscription, such as http://www.aweber.com or again,
http://www.getresponse.com offers a paid option. These are feature rich and
allow many options for customising the messages, importing/exporting etc.. 

Or, as part of our team building programs, the Empowerism program includes the

 http://www.isend.info

Autoresponder. This can also be purchased separately ($57 annually). 
But for $19.95 a month, with 50 leads, Empowerism is possibly the best option
here. Check with your upline or Moneylegs/3Step page for the link to join
Empowerism.

There is now a 15 Letter Empowerism responder series available
to all Empowerism paid members. Unfortunately, due to abuse the
responder is non-editable and only promotes Empowerism other
than what you can add in the signature line.


(Empowerism now boasts a double your money power-line that has to
be seen to be believed. This is a fast cycler and there is alot
of money to be made with it. I can tell you honestly that many of
us have done very well with this option.)


3. Use the services that a web host supplies. Included with a 3step Pro and
Exec position is a superb web hosting package. Once you have your domain name
set up, you can plug in the Autoresponder system that comes included with it.
This is the recommended option, because anyone that subscribes 
to your Autoresponder will see it comes from your domain, not a free system,
nor an outside service.
You control the entire content of any message that goes out and to whom and
when it sends messages.

4. If the web host does not supply this service, I recommend you find one that
does, it is reasonably easy to transfer your hosting to another company.
However, if you can upload scripts to 
your web space then you may be able to use another type that you host
yourself. This is more complicated and beyond this tutorial due to the various
types of hosting packages out there. 10khits4u Solutions will also

Using your Autoresponder

Here is an outline to follow when using your Autoresponder. There are no
drafted emails to copy. 

Remember, we are building a personal team. You need to provide your
personality to the messages you send. This way, when it is time for a personal
follow up, they are already familiar with your
mannerisms. Plus, you tend to understand something better when you have
written it yourself. 

Any questions arising from your emails become that much easier to respond to. 
Always test your messages before adding leads or advertising the link to it.
Get your sponsor in 10khits4u to proof read it. They may spot something you
missed or add some additional points. 
Never SELL anything other than passively in these messages. Remember, you are
attempting to produce a team and a page holder.


1. The First Sales Letter; 10khits4u does this for you, no action required.
Once someone applies for your free offer, having filled out your form, they
receive notification that their request has been 
sent and what details they provided upon application. They are also informed
that you will be following up within 24 hours. This is important, if you fail
to do this, they will often forget you or just delete your email.

2. The Follow Up Letter; Done manually using 10khits4u letter Sent within 24
hours of the lead signing up for information and sent personally. This always
gives a better impression than when someone sees an automated message fired
off to them. It demonstrates you have taken the time to 
personally see to their request and even if it is a template letter, gives it
and you more credibility. 

The letter should remind them of when and how they requested information about
the system, (if you hit reply to the email you receive from 10khits4u on sign
up it is included) and provides information on how to remove themselves if
they wish to decline further emails. It should also 
include your contact details, email and MSN addresses, even your phone number
if you wish.

3. The Second Follow Up Letter Sent up to 3 days after the last, any longer
and they may forget about the system. Remember, you are trying to build
familiarity and trust. 

You have two options again. Either resend the letter again, recommended if you
are not a great copywriter, or send them a personal email outlining the system
and the benefits you have received from using it. Be sure not to mention how
the actual system operates, i.e. the use of Crazybrowser 
etc.. We want to maintain the curiosity and desire to find out more. They get
"this" only when they become pageholders. Talk about the team benefits, your
commitment to supporting them, and that they may 
count on you for guidance. You want to build loyalty and trust. Remember, at
this point you do not know them or their needs. Ask them about their
experience or what areas of Network Marketing they 
need help with. People want others to give support and assistance. It is what
we do best. 

Remember to include contact details, removal instructions and why they are
receiving the info. Use the header from the first letter.

4. Follow Up Number Three. Up to 3 days later. 

Still not signed up? Oh well, try again. Now if you are using an
Autoresponder, it takes care of this for you. Of course you will have drafted
this letter and entered it into your system. 

Or, you are sending them a manual letter. Either way, it is time to start
getting their attention.

Again, if you are not a copywriter or don't feel confident, then use the first
letter. But change the subject and perhaps reword it. 
Put an offer in there to try to bribe them. Make it something of value. We
already offer the Empowerism series, which if they have signed up to, they are
receiving. This is where the isend AR comes into play. These will also be
coming from you at regular intervals. Again, more familiarity.
If you are not using Empowerism, make sure you you have something in its
place. Remind them of the benefits of being part of the 10khits4u team, the
ezine, the teamwork, support, weekly conference 
and other features. These together are what make 10khits4u unique and so
powerful.

5. Follow Up Number Four. Again, Up to 3 days later. 

Remember, we are trying to build familiarity and trust. What to include. Well,
it is time to start promoting a sense of urgency and perhaps try to get a
response from them. They haven't signed up for the free offers, taken the
bribes, time to ask "Why haven't you enrolled yet?" A response now will 
mean they are still interested, just need some questions answered or advice. 
Again, remind them of the benefits of the 10khits4u system. Still do not
mention the traffic system, remember, this is a bribe in itself, "Exclusive to
Members; A free Traffic Generating System." 

Include the bonuses you sent previously, they may have missed your email.
Remember, the power of self selling. You must not "push the sale", make the
prospect feel that they have no option but to take up the system, for fear
they would miss out if they failed to sign up.

6. Follow Up Number Five. Yep, still trying. Up to 3 days later. 
Quick point to make. At any time, if one of your prospects does sign up,
remove them from the Autoresponder, or put them on pause. There is no need to
keep sending the series. 

This time around, it is time to give an idea of how others have succeeded or
benefited from joining the team.Perhaps ask a few of your members for
testimonials, or check to see if there are other
members willing to give one. This has a lot of power. Remember to ask
permission, and include contact details. End the letter with something
like, "Now, it is up to you, to prove this system is 
everything I have made it out to be and more. Contact the members I have
included above and ask their opinion."

7. Follow Up Number Six. Up to 3 days later. Time for Tears. Say goodbye? 
Well, no, there is still a chance. Lay your all your cards down on the table.
Explain that you are a winner, failure is not an option. You want them on your
team, you will be their mentor, help them to
build their team, doing everything in your power to make then successful. So
long as they are willing to learn and at least make a determined effort to
duplicate your success. 

Ask them if receiving a few hundred dollars a month extra would help them, or
even if they desire to achieve financial independence by becoming their own
boss!
 
A warning though. Do not make false claims, i.e. by this time next month, you
will be a millionaire.

You do not know their personal circumstances or desires. It does not come that
easily. Only claim up to the point you can prove. If you make thousands a
month and you can teach someone how to do it 
easily, then by all means declare it. Just be able to prove it. Let them know
that they will still receive occasional emails from you. That these will be a
combination of useful tips and advice and
occasional promotional newsletters. That you are still available to contact if
they should wish to ask questions.



To Wrap It Up

Once through the entire series, they are unlikely to become a page holder.
However, do not discard them completely, they are still your contacts. Treat
them with respect. They may come back. 

Only send occasional further emails of value, remind them of the 10khits4u
system. 

Let them know how you are progressing. Perhaps, you are now in a position to
offer traffic credit incentives or you have rights to give away ebooks etc... 
Use the p.s. Portion of your emails (the signature portion) to include your
sales pitches only.

Do not bombard them with ads. If you have products you use, include your
personal testimonial on how you have succeeded with or benefited from it. This
may mean the difference between a sale and an ignore. Notice the
statement "How you succeeded with or benefited from." Not the sales pitch 
approach. Leave this to the web site you are going to refer them to. Arouse
their curiosity they may have had or are having the same problems you overcame
by using the product and feel that they too would benefit.

The SECRET.... 

Your list. Simple as that. Without it you cannot succeed. You need a ready
market. Over time this can grow to thousands of opt in members. You need to
build a strong frontline and help them do the 
same for themselves. Do not give it to them. Train them, this system is easily 
duplicatable. Each brings their own personality, but the bottom line is not to
try to change what works. We have proved it works. MLM is not about placing
ads. It takes effort. Working with your team to help them work 
With their team. What use is a downline if they do nothing because they don't
know how to do anything else.
